Sims 2... Sim won't get pregnant?

What could be wrong with my sim? She can't get pregnant, i've tried atleast 20 times to get her pregnant using "Try For Baby" in the hot tub and in bed and the chimes don't come on... My sims are married, could it be because she has a popularity aspiration? or.. Wha?
