I hate people taking pictures of me or telling people to look at me?

You're just being self concious. Try not to worry about what people think of you and just be yourself. The reason they tell people to look at you when you're doing something neat is because they think its awesome and they want the world to see what an awesome friend they have. Also, if people see pictures of you hanging with your friends, having fun, they'll see that you're a nice, fun- loving person who likes to be with thier friends, instead of some self- conscious girl who feels like she has to pose for every picture and adjust the lighting. You definetly don't want people to think that about you. The only people who care what you look like are losers that you wouldn't to be your friends anyways, so just be yourself. (and your friend probably called you hot because either you are, or she thought you would like that, or both)
